Susan died peacefully August 16, 2024, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, at the age of 92.
She was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (McLean) Webber.
Susan was predeceased by her husband, William Singer; son, Keith Singer; son-in-law, Tom Peters; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Elizabeth Singer; sisters, Ruby Codiac and Audrey Purvis; and brothers, Jim Webber (Isabell) and Charles Gordon Webber.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Deborah Peters; grandson, Keith (Deanna); and the love of her life, great-grandson, Braydon Peters. She is also survived by her brother, Bill (Betty) Webber; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Susan was employed for over 20 years at the Children’s Training Centre in Sydney. She had a great love for the kids, often taking them home for sleepovers or just out for an adventure. Susan also loved to travel, doing so quite often with her family and extended family enjoying many adventures, laughs and the odd family friendly banter.
Known to many as «Nanny Susie», she loved to see the kids come up for a visit. She also loved watching the hummingbirds and life’s adventures passing by her front window on a daily basis. She will be forever missed by her daughter, Deborah and the two boys, Keith and Braydon.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Sydney Memorial Chapel. There will be no service. Interment will take place at a later date in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
