Obituary of Susie Postma (February 28, 1942 – June 24, 2023)
Susie Postma went to be with her Lord after a six month battle with cancer on Saturday, June 24, 2023.
Susie was the husband of Henk Postma for the last six years. Mother of Michael (Judi), Cynthia (Tim), and Tim (Charlene) and her three step-children Ruth, Rick (Monica), and Henry (Sharon). Grandmother of Joel (Rachel), Garett (Erica), Nicholas (MaryBeth), Janelle, and Ethan; Jayden and Avery; Kyle (Krystin), Ryan (Coral), and Joshua; Sarah and Melissa (Chris); Brandon, Amanda, and Cassie (Ron); Shannon (Nave). Great-grandmother to Hayley, Kailyn and Micah; Joseph and Evangeline; Malakai and Blake; Jeevan, Simran and Amrit.
Predeceased by her first husband of 51 years, Joe Hoekstra, her brother Andy de Haan and her grandson Joshua Michael Hoekstra.
Family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, June 28 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. at Grace Christian Reformed Church (255 Tweedsmuir Ave. W., Chatham). A private interment will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery. A memorial service will take place at Grace Christian Reformed Church on Thursday, June 29 at 11:00 a.m.
