Susan McIntosh Obituary
It comes with deep sadness our dearest wife and mother Susan McIntosh passed away peacefully with her family present at her side Monday May 20/24.
She will be forever remembered for her ability to share with others her kindness in ways only she was able to do.
Baking was her number 1 passion followed by gardening and caring for her closest tiny 4-legged children all throughout her life.
She had a working career which included a start in sewing that led her to an automotive plant then onto the retail industry at a fast-food chain. It was here that she found a way to show her ability to serve and polish her customer service skills that would eventually lead her and Dad to Entrepreneurship and purchased their very own business. This was an unforgettable time in her life which still stands today, with many of the friends made during those years reminiscing about those dinners and the honest home welcoming feeling they enjoyed.
Her career then went in another direction with Sobey’s for almost 22 years, finally retiring and enjoying that gardening passion even more.
Most of us will remember the endearing nicknames she gave people when the given name didn’t quite come as fast as it should have. Sport, Sweetpea, Sunshine, and then those not so endearing even though their name was not forgotten. Nitwit, Twit, Dingbat to politely name a few.
Our Family would like to thank those who assisted, cared for and help support Mom as she battled her illness for a very short time.
We are forever thankful to the entire CarePartners staff for their dedication to the home visit care they provided and, in some cases, daily and who actually became part of our family. To the entire Rotary Hospice staff for their gentle and kind ability in the care they provided for our Wife and Mom ❤ All the above mentioned are Angels in our world!
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love, and go on.
