GAUDET Susan Laurraine -A friend to many in Brighton, Sue Gaudet died peacefully on May 5th, 2024 following a brief illness. The care and respect provided Sue in her last days by the staff in the ICU at Kingston General Hospital was outstanding. Sue spent her life in the Brighton area, attending ENSS and working for many years at Corrections Canada – Warkworth Institution. She made many close friends, drawn to her by her high energy and quick wit. Sue was fun to be around. She loved to play sports but would be the first to admit that her abilities would never quite match her enthusiasm. She was known to play a round of golf with just one club and to play baseball in a dress and dress shoes. She enjoyed fishing but none of her friends can ever recall that she caught one. She just enjoyed the companionship and the boat ride. A number of community organizations benefitted from Sue’s investment of her time and enthusiasm. Over the years she devoted many hours to Community Care, United Way, the Humane Society and The Lions Club of Brighton. Sue leaves behind her loving partner of many years Dennis Bangay as well as her sister Cindy, her nieces Chantelle, Jessica and Sarah and her nephew David. Sue was a loving friend to many and will be greatly missed.
