Susan Lamers
Surrounded by her two children on Sunday January 1, 2023, at the age of 81, Susan peacefully passed on to rejoin her true love, Stuart. She is dearly missed by her children Wendy (Bill) and Michael (Simone), her brother Robert (Sharon), her sister-in-law Judy, as well as her nieces, nephews and their families. Susan was particularly fond and proud of her six grandchildren Kate, Leah, Elyse, Kaimon, Davis, and Jackson whom she lavished with love and kindness. She was a kind, quiet and gentle soul who cared deeply for those around her including her loyal cats. Known for her passion of the arts, music, gardening, skiing, and travelling, Susan made countless good friends along the way. She taught us to appreciate nature in cultivating beautiful gardens while carefully watching over the critters and birds. Susan was rooted in the Stony Lake community where early friendships began and where she met the love of her life, Stuart. Summers were spent as a tightly knit family throwing fun and playful parties. Susan elegantly expressed joy in ballet and in handcrafting resulting in numerous awards and becoming well recognized in the art gallery and framing world. Above all, Susan was the most devoted and loving Mum ever imagined. We will remember her bright blue eyes and mischievous knowing smile revealing her integrity and deep understanding of others. The family is extremely grateful for the care and compassion of the Hospice staff where Susan comfortably spent her last days.
