It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Susy on Monday, April 22nd at Hazelton Place Retirement Residence. Predeceased by her loving partner William Chater. Cherished sister of Judy (Ralph) Daley and Don (Judy Whittaker). Dear aunt of Allison, Jody, Jesse, and great-aunt of Cordelia, Kenzie, Riley, Meghan and Eva. Fond stepmother of Susan and Nancy.
Susy graduated from Queen’s University with an Honours Bachelor of Science in 1968 and worked for the Ontario government for over thirty years. She enjoyed travelling everywhere from Europe to South-East Asia and the Caribbean. She was an avid reader, especially of Canadian fiction and a great supporter of the arts, particularly dance and theatre. She will be remembered fondly for her wonderful smile, sense of humour and enthusiasm for adventures.
A special thank you to the staff of Hazelton Place, especially Palmo for her compassion and care.
A celebration of Susy’s life will be held at Hazelton Place Retirement Residence, 111 Avenue Rd., Toronto on Monday, April 29th from 1-3 p.m. In memoriam, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
