Susan Elizabeth Bracken (Chernoff)
Susan passed away at her home in Port Hope, Ontario on Friday, March 29th 2024 at the age of 74 lovingly embraced by her husband of 47 years, Larry Leonard Bracken.
She was a proud Nana and will be cherished always by her grandchildren; Ethan, Ellie, Jared, Erica, Abigail, Emily, Samuel and Joel. She will be forever loved by her children; Adam Carter (Lisa), April Bracken (Michael Mancini) and Billy Bracken. Susan will be greatly missed by her surviving sisters; Anita Keating, Jay Beaudrow and Dayna Hale, along with her brothers and sisters-in-law and her many nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
Susan was born in Toronto, Ontario and raised in Sutton but spent the majority of her adult life living in Port Hope. Her family and friends will remember her as a kind soul, someone who was always warm, empathetic and exuded infinite patience.
Sadly, Susan was predeceased by her daughter Samantha Jane Carter (1973), her sister Marlene Keetch (1993), her brother John Chernoff (2023), her parents Marjorie “Joyce” Hale (2003), Brian Prince Chernoff (1992) and her step-father Ernest Albert Hale (1989).
At Susan’s request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life to honour her will be held at the Anglican Parish of Tyendinaga (1295 Ridge Road, Deseronto, ON K0K 1X0) on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 12:00pm followed by interment at All Saints Church Cemetery.
