“Grizz” Stewart Arnold Sanderson
Passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday October 29th, 2024, at the age of 66.
Beloved life partner of 31 years and best friend of Sandra Ellis. Loving father of Miranda. Dear brother of Steven (Heather) & Debroah (Bob) Martin. Stepfather to Chad Ellis (Stephanie) & Breann Ellis-Kober. He will be remembered by his niece Becki (Leon) Brown and nephew Steven and three great nephews. Son of the late Barb & Milton (Sandy) Sanderson. Treasured friend of Kathleen Denyer, there are no words to thank her enough for all her wisdom and kindness. A special thank you to Linda Brown-Bond for her kindness and guidance.
Stewart’s passions were writing and playing music and driving. He was a longtime employee at Mackie Transportation Inc.
His warped sense of humour will always be treasured. “I was a helluva dancer”
Special thanks to Dr. Shure and his team, Nurse Christina from Paramed and the Durham Cancer Centre for their excellent care and compassion.
As per his wishes, no service will be taking place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The RS McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre or Humane Society of Durham Region would be greatly appreciated.
