Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s, NL on Monday, December 2, 2024, Steven Victor Scott Piercey of Hickman’s Harbour, NL , age 35.
Predeceased by Grandparents Allan and Gertie Butt; Ernest and Effie Piercey.
Left with fond and loving memories, his daughter Brooklyn, who was his pride and joy; and her Mother Megan; Parents Victor and Sarah Piercey; uncles Eugene (Lynda), Dennis, Terry, Hedley, Wesley; aunts, Sheila, Kay (Dan), Lela and Sharon; cousin Lucas Pardy, who Steven thought of as his brother; as well as many other family, friends and coworkers, who brought so much joy to Steven’s life.
Despite his many health challenges, Steven accomplished a lot in his short life; spending his early working years in Central Newfoundland as an Emergency Medical Responder, before working as a Commercial Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator; working and driving in many Provinces across Canada and the United States.
The family would like to express their appreciation to those who have supported and journeyed with them throughout Steven’s sickness, and to the nurses and staff at the Health Science Centre’s CCU, who cared for Steven in his final days.
Resting at Vardy’s Funeral Home, Hickman’s Harbour.
Public visitation on Thursday, December 5 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
A Celebration of Life Service to take place at Crossroads Community Church, Shoal Harbour on Friday December 6 at 11am; with internment following at the United Church Cemetery, Hickman’s Harbour.
