In loving memory of Steven Townend, a cherished firefighter, devoted husband, father, son, and brother, who passed away at the age of 30 in Calmar, Alberta. Steven’s legacy of kindness, joy and laughter will forever be etched in the hearts of those he touched.
Steven Townend, a beacon of light in the lives of many, left this world too soon. His unwavering courage as a firefighter for the Calmar/Leduc County Fire Department was surpassed only by the immense love he had for his family and friends.
He leaves behind a loving family: his wife, Amy Townend-Hudson, his children, Nate and Chloe Townend, who were the pride and joy of his life; stepchildren Kaden and Bentley his father, Ron Townend; his mother, Lisa (Richard) Davies; and his brother, Brandon Davies. Each of them will carry forward his spirit of generosity and warmth.
Steven’s life was a testament to the power of giving. He not only saved lives but also enriched them with his infectious laughter and boundless kindness. Steven had an amazing sense of humor and an ability to tell a story complete with voice, animation, and body language; he did so with pride. He never had any issue making friends with his welcoming personality.
His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will continue to inspire acts of love and selflessness.
A celebration of Steven’s life will be held at the town of Calmar Legion (4815-47 Street, Calmar, AB) on April 1, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, where friends and family are invited to share stories and honor the remarkable man he was.
Steven, your heroism was not only in the fires you fought but in the hearts you warmed. Rest in peace, dear Steven, until we meet again.
