DREYER – Steve of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital surrounded with love by his family, on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the age of 75. Steve is survived by his loving wife Peggy; by his children Steve, Rob, Vicki (John) Gough, Andy (Colleen), and Shelley Baldwin (Jeremy Healey); by his grandchildren Tyson and Adam, Stephanie and her daughter Grey, Christina (Ryan) and Sarah, Ethan and Addison, Sully and Lana; by his twin sisters Carla Graves and Carmen Sharpe; by his siblings-in-law Earl (Pat) Beer, Michael (Rose) Beer, Joe Beer (Kim Given) and Nancy (Patrick) Daoust; and by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Audrey Dreyer (Roberts); by his siblings Don, Pat, Nita and Sherry; and by his sister-in-law Trena Wright. Steve retired from Ford Motor Company – Talbotville after 35 years of service. He was a passionate, competitive pool player who played in multiple leagues with Hustler Billiards, a passion he loved to share with his family and friends Loyd and Gene. He inspired others with his leadership skills, love of the game and “Dreyer” sense of humour. He also enjoyed motorcycles, woodworking, canasta with Jack and Beanie, gospel music and “pristine lawn care” with his neighbour Steve. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
