In Loving Memory of Stella Mamonko
Passed peacefully away after a short illness at the Huntsville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
Predeceased by her first husband Mike Mamonko, by her parents William and Antonina Bojeczko and by her brother-in-law Joe Kosteczko.
Survived by her husband Lindsay Ploughman and extended family, her children Michael Mamonko (Luanne), Elizabeth Cardinal (Pierre), Catherine Rising (Trevor), and by her sister Helen Kosteczko. Loving Baba to Drew, Liam, Rachel, Michèle, Benoit, Willow, Mikhail-Paul and loving Big Baba to Olive and Marine. Loving Chocha to Rick Kosteckzko (Robin), Mary Allman, Tracy Allman and Joey Allman. She will be missed by her large circle of friends, neighbours and community. Stella volunteered at the 4C’s – Lillann Thrift Store, St. Vincent de Paul and was a long-time member of the Alter Society. She loved animals, was a great cook, gardener and she was the glue to her family.
Friends are invited to visit the family at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., 127 Bobcaygeon Road, P.O. Box 427, Minden K0M 2K0 on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. A Mass to Celebrate Stella’s Life will be held at the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 7 Bobcaygeon Road, Minden on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow in the church hall. A Private Family Interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation (by cheque only) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
