Stella Higgins passed away peacefully in Victoria Hospice on Sunday April 9, 2023.
Stella was born in Baillieston, Scotland, and immigrated to Victoria, Canada, as a war bride in January 1945 with an 8-month-old baby daughter and another child (son) on the way.
Stella was predeceased by her husband, Richard D. Higgins on July 15, 2007. She is survived by her daughter Norma (Terry); son Rick (Debbora); grandsons Bryan (Kiera) and Neil (Eden); great grandsons Micah and Cassius; sister-in-law Beverley; nephews Jerry (Christine) and Kevin; and niece Janice (Ian).
The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin Wylie for all the care and conversation he gave Stella over the many years.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 1:00 pm, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 924 Douglas Street, Victoria, BC. Refreshments to be served in the church hall after the service.
In lieu of flowers if you wish to make a donation to a charity of your choice in Stella’s name.
