Obituary of Stanley Baird
In his 91st year, Stan died peacefully at the Perth Hospital on December 31, 2023, with his family by his side. Stan was born May 31, 1933 to the late Merville and Odo (Frizell) Baird. Beloved husband of 57 years to the late Marion Baird (Andison). Loving father of Donna (Troy) and Gord (Angela). Proud Grandpa of Shane (Kailah), Spencer, Emma, Noah, Jonas, Sam and Haley. He will be missed by his brothers, Len (the late Barbara) and David (Marion) Baird, sister-in-law Jean (the late Bud) Shore and by his many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by sister Audrey Whittle, brothers-in-law Doug Whittle and Jack Andison, and sister-in-law, Betty Andison. A lifelong resident of Ottawa, Stan spent the past year at Lanark Lifestyles in Perth, ON where he enjoyed life, “One day at a time”.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 12:30 pm with a service at 1:30 pm and a reception following. Those wishing to make a memorial donation may do so to the charity of their choice.
