Stanley Eugene «Stan» Elko
September 25, 1938 – February 4, 2023
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Stanley Eugene Elko of Cherhill, Alberta, announce his passing on February 4, 2023, at the age of 85 years.
Stanley was born in Two Hills, Alberta. He was honest, hard-working, and dedicated to his family.
Stanley enjoyed so many things throughout his life including his work in the oil patch, playing many different musical instruments, watching sports, home renovations, woodworking, and cooking. He will be remembered for his delicious Ukrainian dishes. Stanley was always ready to lend a helping hand to his friends or a neighbour in need. He loved to sit back and enjoy life, share his quick-wit and even during hard times he found the humour in most situations.
Stanley will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Debbie (Mark); grandchildren, Amanda, Zaccaria and Alesha; great-grandchildren, Jazmyn, Serena, Lincoln, Colton and Allyanna; siblings, Janet and Pat; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Stanley was predeceased by his son, Craig; daughter, Nicka; and his mother, Daisy.
Respecting Stanley’s wishes, a Celebration of Life is being planned for August 2023.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be welcome to Diabetes Canada or a charity of your choice.
