Stan Mailloux Obituary
Stanley J. Mailloux, age 77, of Stratford, formerly of Seaforth, passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Tecumseh, ON., son of the late Stanislaus and Bernadette Gignac. Stanley is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 56 years, Kathreen (Halliday) Mailloux.
Loving father of Kathreen (Jason) Hansen, Iain (Sharon) Mailloux and Anna (Alex) Nimigon. Proud and loving papa of Connor, Liam, Kenya, Isabelle, Georgia, Evan, Grace and Emma. Stan was so proud of his children and grandchildren. He was a passionate golfer, and the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions have lost a 70+ year devoted fan. Many thanks to all the staff at the Critical Care unit in Stratford for their care and support.
Stanley will be fondly remembered by his siblings Jeannine St. Pierre and Cecile LaChance and his brother and sister-in- laws Pete Desjardins, Pat Halliday, Tom (Gladys) Halliday, Jane (Farhoud) Moujaes and their children Max and Mara. Besides his parents, Stan was predeceased by a daughter Mary (1970), his siblings; Joseph in infancy, Rita (Bernard), Laurent (Marjorie), Lucille, Henriette (Robert) and his brothers-in-law Maurice St. Pierre and Alfred LaChance.
Family and friends are invited to Stanley’s visitation on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 6-8pm at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. Stanley’s funeral service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11a.m. with a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at Immaculate Conception Church, 50 Well Street, Stratford. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery.
