Solange Perreault-Cyr (Lambert)
The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Solange Liliane Perreault Cyr (nee Lambert) at the Timmins and District Hospital on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, at the age of 97 years.
Solange was born in Val Gagné, Ontario. Solange was predeceased by her parents Ulric Lambert and Regina (Lacoursière). Beloved mother of John Perreault (Brenda), Noella Perreault (late Leo), Jeannine Roseborough (Ernie), Diane Ferron (Armand), Susanne Shilton, George Perreault (Colette), Gaetan Perreault, Denis Perreault (Mila), including 6 stepchildren. Solange was blessed with 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren.
Solange is survived by her brother, Noel Lambert (Liette), and her sister-in-law Claudette Lambert, spouse of the late Armand Lambert. She is predeceased by her other siblings and spouses, Ida Lacoursière (Gilbert), Juliette Morin (Lucien), her twin brother Charles Lambert, Fernand Lambert (Suzanne), Lionel Lambert (Jeanne), Jacqueline Bellemare (Élie), Yvette Anthony (Howard), Émile Lambert, and Dorianne Fecteau (Roland).
Nany, as many know her by, spent part of her younger years log barking, as she would say “working like a man”. Nany loved knitting, sewing and was an exceptional baker and always had delicious treats when visitors went over. Nany was also famous for her comforting, warm and heavy “Nany blankets” which her entire family have cherished for many years. Solange was a loving mother and an incredible Nany, she will forever be cherished and loved by her family, and she will be missed deeply.
The family would like to wish a very profound thank you to the Hospice staff at the Timmins and District Hospital for the wonderful, compassionate care that was provided to Nany.
Remembrance donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario or a Mass said at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Church would be greatly appreciated. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 10am at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 1-3pm and 6-8pm at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
