Sims, Linda Ann ‘Lin’
Linda passed away peacefully at Algonquin Grace Residential Hospice in Huntsville on Monday, February 5, 2024 at the age of 80.
Born in Collingwood on May 10, 1943, Linda was the eldest daughter of the late Olive (nee Maher) and Tom Sims.
She is survived by her sister Pat Sims of Meaford.
Lin was predeceased by her sister Libby and by her partner Phyllis Licop.
She will be fondly remembered by several cousins and many friends in Burks Falls.
Lin worked for many years with the Royal Bank. She enjoyed music and was an antique collector. She loved the Toronto Maple Leafs, they were by far her favourite team. Over the years she has shared her home with many Golden Retrievers, she considered them part of her family. A special thanks to Lin’s friend Andrea and the staff at the Hospice Huntsville for their exceptional care.
A private family graveside service will be conducted at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
