It is with tremendous sadness that we announce that while surrounded by his family at home, our beloved Shlomo Watkin passed away on October 17, 2023 just four days after his 78th birthday.
Beloved husband of Fresia, devoted father to the late Orly, Tali and father-in-law to Al. Over the moon in love Grandfather to Rebecca and Adam. He will be missed by his entire family including step-son and step daughter-in-law, step grandchildren, Pablo, Amy, Simon, Thomas, Lindsay, Alan, Hudson and Isla.
A proud Israeli, he left Israel to begin a new life in Canada. His warmth, charisma and jovial nature impacted so many. He was an avid artist, entrepreneur and world traveler.
He succumbed to the horrible disease, ALS. Taken from us way too soon we lament all the simchas he will miss. He was our anchor and our lives are worse now due to this loss. Our only saving grace is that he is with our beloved Orly.
