Obituary of Shirley Lois Reicker
It is with profound sadness that the family of Shirley Lois Reicker announce her peaceful passing which occurred on December 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Belyea’s Cove, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on April 21, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Ottis and Mary (McCann) Bostwick.
Shirley is survived by her children: Richard “Rick” Reicker (Beth) of Hatfield Point, NB, and Joyce Freeze (Keith) of Springfield, NB; grandchildren: Matthew (Angela) Guptill, Rory (Tanya) Reicker, Ryan (Laura) Reicker, Marce Donovan and Cody (Marion) Donovan; great-grandchildren: Megan, Owen, Ethan, Ayda and Macey Guptill; Austin, Hailey and Ylva Reicker and Collins, Makenzie and Cayden Donovan; sisters: Margaret “Peggy” MacDonald of Hampton, NB and Sandra Gray (David) of Midland, NB; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband Roland Reicker in 2019; sister Geraldine Mott; brothers: Joseph, George and John “Jack” Bostwick; infant twins David and Dawn Marie Bostwick.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10:00am from Outreach Pentecostal Church, 2129 Route 124, Hatfield Point, NB. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to Belyea’s Cove Community Hall Inc., Bayview Cemetery, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and charitable donations may be made through: SherwoodsFuneralHome.com
