It is with profound sadness that the family of Shirley Fay Theresa Schimpf (nee Nichols) announce her peaceful passing on the 13th of September 2023 at the age of 82 years.
Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Irven; children, Tracey and partner Shawn and Lawrence and partner Carolyn; grandchildren, Christopher and wife Chloe, Paul and Jasmine; great-grandchildren, Kai and Quinn; as well as numerous relatives, friends and the Catholic Women’s League.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. in Connelly-McKinely Downtown Funeral Home 10011 114 Street NW. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Dominic Savio Catholic Church 14406 62 Street NW.
Memorial Donations may be made in Shirley Schimpf’s name to any charity of your choosing.
The family wishes to send a special thank you, the staff at the General Hospital for their care and compassion.
