Passed peacefully away on December 21st, 2024, age 85 years. Predeceased by her husband: Abe and daughter: Lorraine. Left with fond and loving memories her children: Art (Carol), Donna (Blair), Oral, Ronald (Sue), Darryl, Veanus (Ian), Mary (Gerard), Rodney (Diane), grandchildren: Keith, Sheila, Zachary, Luke, Cameron, Jack, Bobbi and Nash, great-grandchildren: Aurwen and Owen, sisters: Stella and Betty, son-in-law: Richard and grand puppy: Lilly. Also, Sheila is survived by a large circle of family and friends including Eleanor, Betty D, Julie, Joan and Shawn. Our mother had a fulfilling life, and she was very sociable. Mom loved a game of cards, a game of darts, dancing and attending her flower garden. She was the heart of our family and warmly embraced us all with love and companionship. Mom endowed her family with qualities of success and made us feel capable of anything. Sheila had a way of making everyone feel welcome in her home, friends, neighbors and even strangers. Her love extended beyond our family and her generosity knew no bounds. “Her love will continue; to guide us, her memory will continue to inspire us. Thank you, mom, for being the heart of our family. We love you always and forever.” Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Friday, December 27th, 2024, from 11:00 – 2:00 pm.
