It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Shawn Sidney Vance, age 30, of
Amherst, formerly of Joggins, NS. Shawn passed away
unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 with family by his
side.
Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of the
late Donald White an Christine (Larry) Patterson.
He enjoyed anything outdoors, hunting,
fishing, picking crows feet, or clamming. He was an outgoing
man with a big heart. He loved to help others, and enjoyed
making everyone laugh.
He will be deeply missed by the love of
his life Morgan Gabriel; his pride and joy, his son Kayson
Vance. In addition, he will be missed by his mother
Christine (Larry) Patterson, River Hebert; brothers Shane (Laura)
White, River Hebert, NS, and Leland Patterson, at home; his maternal
grandparents Charlie and Marsha Vance, Joggins, NS; paternal
grandmother Joyce White, River Hebert as well as several aunts,
uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by an infant son
Zayden; his father Donald; paternal grandfather Bernard White, as well
as his very special great grandmother Charlotte Vance.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of the Jones Family Funeral
Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777).
An Afternoon of Remembrance will be held at the Jones Family Funeral
Centre on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm, all are welcome to
drop in.
