Sharron Marie Johnson 1943-2024
Sharron grew her cardinal wings and flew away from us on the beautiful snowy morning of Saturday, December 21st, 2024 (winter solstice) in Newbury, Ontario.
Born in Stoney Creek, Ontario to the late Bernice Marie (Massey) and the late Murray Felker Johnson of Stoney Creek (Hamilton), she was the sister of seven siblings, Marilyn Carrigan (1939-1996), Graham Johnson (1940-2013), Barbara St. Laurent, Kathryn Hutcheon, Susan Humble, Linda Prokop, and Joesph Johnson.
Sharron was the beloved mother of Pam Kenel, Bruce McIntosh, Stewart McIntosh, Deborah McIntosh, and Doug McIntosh, from her previous partner (Roy McIntosh) and was widowed from her husband of 51 years, Charlie Marentette.
Sharron is survived by her grandchildren, Nathan McIntosh, Bill Kenel, Jessica Kenel, Daniel McIntosh, Taylour Kroeker, Parker McIntosh, Mikayla McIntosh, Kailee McIntosh, Maggie Kenel, Alexis McIntosh, Luther (Briann) McIntosh and Lexi McIntosh. and great-grandchildren, Marlena McIntosh, Azlo McIntosh, and Quinn McIntosh, Emma Kenel and Owen Kenel.
Sharron was an avid collector of memorabilia and Canadiana, loved gardening on her farm as well as sewing and knitting. When not on her farm she enjoyed driving to visit friends and family, going places and doing things with her daughter and travel companion Deborah, and the colour red. Sharron is now with her saviour, Jesus, and her much loved grandparents, parents, older sister and brother, and will be forever missed.”
