Sharon «Shari» Davis Obituary
With her blended family by her side, Sharon “Shari” Marie Bourgard Hutchinson Davis passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday March 28th, 2024 in her 77th year.
Shari was born in Etobicoke, Ontario on June 25th, 1947, the daughter of the late John and Sheila Bourgard. Survived by her sister Sandi Grant (Alan) of Alberta, and predeceased by her brother Bobby and by her former husband John Hutchinson of Ennismore.
Beloved wife of 18 years to Brian “Larry” Davis of Peterborough. Mother to Suzanne O’Connor (Clarence) of Alberta, Lee Ann Hutchinson of Peterborough, Jeff Hutchinson (Lisa) of Ennismore, Step-mother to Larry Davis (Tracey) of Peterborough, and Lisa Davis (Joe) of Peterborough.
Shari’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, Erin, AJ (Emily), Luc, Jessie Lee, Hannah (Dustin), John Ross (Briana), Brittany (Clint), Natasha (Colten), Ben, Halle, Kailey (Taylor), Cameron (Maddy), Lauren (Cam), Larissa (Parker), Cal, and Lea. Great Grandmother to Archer, Emma, Chet, Blake, and Crew.
Shari was very proud of her career as a business owner. Her success included market farming, equestrian stables, specialties restaurants, photographic artisan and forestry machinery manufacturing and sales. These business endeavors created lifelong relationships, customers and clients became friends and were grateful they had Shari to assist them.
Shari loved to read and was a skilled writer. Shari believed it was more important to write than to publish. Several unpublished transcripts remain as a personal offering of her legacy.
Shari’s gentle and caring persona attracted loyal friends wherever her travels took her. Her love for travel is exhibited in the many framed photographs she produced and are proudly displayed in many locations.
Shari was a devoted Christian and was proud of her church family in Campbellford.
A Celebration of her life will be held at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, on April 18th, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held at 5:30PM, followed by a reception where family and friends can meet and celebrate Shari.
