The family of Sharon Marie Bertsch (nee Kendrick) mourns the loss of an amazing woman after a long battle with cancer. Sharon passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 with her family at her side at the Peter Lougheed Hospital.
Sharon was born on August 6, 1951 in Calgary, Alberta to John and Jean Kendrick.
Sharon was married to Ken Bertsch for over 50 years. They have five children: Lana, Lisa, Lynette (Olin), Layton and Lane; eight grandchildren: Laura, James (Aleena), Evan, Kaylyn, Luke, Dylan and Lytning; and five great-grandchildren: Levina, Colton, Oliver, Wesley and Ivory.
Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of others, and spending time with her friends over breakfast.
Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation commencing at Noon on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Pierson’s Funeral Service, 4121- 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta. A Funeral Service for Sharon will follow at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Pierson’s Funeral Service. There will be a time of fellowship immediately after the service. Interment will take place after the reception at 3:30 p.m. from Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
