Passed into peace on October 6, 2023, at age 80. Sharon is survived by her grandson Jonathan Cassano and son-in-law Tony Cassano, her sister Dale Fisher (David), nieces Heather Enns (Chris) and Katherine Fisher. Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Leslie James Hetherington and Vera Mae Sellers, her husband Garry O’Donnell, and her daughter Janette Cassano (Tony.)
Sharon was a born teacher, following in her father’s footsteps. She taught for the Toronto School Board for her whole career. She especially loved her years at Queen Alexandra School teaching family studies and running many activities to enrich the lives of the students.
A service will be held in the chapel at Morley Bedford Funeral Services, 159 Eglinton Avenue West at 3:30 on Friday, October 13. Reception to follow. Interment will take place earlier at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Little Trinity Church, 403 King St. E. Toronto, ON, M5A 1L3, littletrinity.org.
