It is with extreme sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jim Shail on Friday, January 20th, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife and family after a short battle with cancer.
Predeceased by his parents Bob and Maisie (Stormont) Shail, he leaves behind his best friend and soulmate Debbie Shail, his brother Rob (Wendy) Shail and sister Diane Calhoune, his children Shawn (Amanda), Tyler (Valerie) and Daren (Courtney) and his grandchildren that meant the world to him Addison, Deegan, Thomas and Mateo.
When we think of Jim, we think of love, family and muscle cars; he had an appetite for all three. He will be missed during the summers, sitting on the deck of Scooter’s surrounded by friends chatting the day away.
The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, friends and family for their help and exceptional care from Kirkland Lake to Sudbury to Hamilton and Florida as we all raced to try and make things better.
Please feel free to join the family for a celebration of life being held at the Encore club on January 28th at 1pm where we can reminisce and enjoy Jim’s favorite things in life.
