On March 18, 2024, Serena Mary Daly (Williamson) passed away at 59 years of age in her home.
Survived by daughter Sara, son in law Rick and granddaughter Edie Margaret, life partner Jim, mother Marjorie, brother Drew and sister in law Erica, sister in law Steph and brother in law Chad and honorary daughter Katie. Predeceased by her father Kevin and in laws Doug and Norma.
A ceremony to celebrate Serena’s life will follow at a later date with more information for friends and family available in the coming weeks.
Born in Dublin, Ireland in 1964, Serena came to Canada with her family in 1967. They settled in the town of Dorchester where she eventually returned in retirement. She served as a lifeguard in the Dorchester community for many years. Serena later won a scholarship to Western University for history and studied business marketing at Fanshawe College. Serena was a proud supporter of London’s music scene, promoting local musicians and bands while operating The Whippet Lounge at the Embassy Hotel. She was an avid reader, a lover of music, pop culture, science fiction and history. Never to shy away from politics or world affairs, Serena loved to discuss her passions with anyone who shared interest.
Serena also loved animals (especially her cats – lol) often supporting the Humane Society and the Sheldrick Wildlife Foundation. In her memory, donations can be made to Human Society London Middle. You are invited to use the below link to contribute if you are able:
