Scott’s Obituary
George Scott Tupper, age 84 of Tatamagouche, formerly of Scott’s Bay, Kings Co., passed away Monday, January 23,2023 in Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche, after a short illness. Scott was born in Upper Canard, Kings Co., to the late Harry and Daisy (Frail) Tupper and lived 83 years In Scott’s Bay where he was a lifetime farmer and had the care of his aging parents. Scott was a friend to many in the small community in a time when farmers helped each other out in times of need. Scott enjoyed hunting and fishing with his buddies in the community and enjoyed many games of cards and cribbage at (The Shop).
Scott was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Verna (Schofield); brothers, Grant and Blake; nephews Gerry Tupper, Calvin Schofield and niece, Bonnie Schofied (Corkum) He is survived by his wife, Marianne (Thomas) Tupper; a brother Keith and several nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Scottie.
There will be no funeral as per Scott’s wishes, however, in June there will be an evening reception for family and friends at the Long Table Social Club, Scots Bay where we can share “Scottie” tales and memories.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche.
