Obituary of Sawyer William Hamill
July 6, 2005 – July 29, 2024
It is with deep profound sadness that we announce the untimely tragic loss of our son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend, Sawyer Hamill, at the young age of 19 years old.
Treasured, beautiful son of Michael Hamill and Julie Noble. Sorrowfully missed by big brother Ethan Hamill (Katie) and big sister Courtney (Chad) Stevens. Loved uncle of Spencer and Adaline. Cherished nephew of Debbie, Andrew, Mike (Melissa), and Sarah (Diego). Dearest grandson of Rita (the late Hugh) Noble and Brian (the late Joanne) Hamill. He will be sadly missed by his cousins Braeden, Hannah, Reyd, Samantha, Olivia, Carmelo, Victoria, Gianluca; great-aunt Marie; special cousin Destiny Murphy; best friend Ryan Weylie, and his many friends including his Mount Hope buddies; and his best furry bud, Ranger.
Sawyer passed doing what he loved. A gentle giant with a heart of gold; he was days away from starting his career in the Canadian military, where he would have served his country proudly. To know Sawyer was to know love and light – he was the kind of guy that would give the shirt off his back. Sawyer loved fixing anything with wheels, being in nature, and gaming (where he made many good friends online). Above all, Sawyer loved his family and friends deeply, and was so loved in return.
The family extends deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from friends and family in the days since we lost Sawyer.
Visitation for Sawyer will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 11:30 a.m., with service to follow at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Sawyer are asked to consider any cause that supports Canadian Veterans or active members. Online condolences and notes of sympathy may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
