October 10, 1937 – June 7, 2023
At the age of 85, Sarah (Sadie) Frances Farwell of Corner Brook, NL passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 7th, 2023 at Pleasant View Towers in St. John’s, NL. Sadie was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Clayton Robert Farwell, after which she enthusiastically, patiently and selflessly devoted many years to providing live-in day care and endless love for all of her precious grandchildren.
Her children, Delisa Farwell (Paul) and Darren Farwell (Pauline); grandchildren Devan Barrett (Janice), Kristen Penny (Jason), Kylene Barrett, Oliver Farwell, and Elliott Farwell; as well as great grand children Ashton and Aiden Barrett, and Nora and Myla Penney will always cherish the many loving, humorous, and treasured memories of their mother, Nan and Nana.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the exceptional care and support provided, as well kindness shown, by the wonderful staff of the Long-Term Care facility at Pleasant View Towers over the last five years.
Visitation will take place on Friday June 16th from 1-3:00 p.m., followed by a 3:00 pm Funeral service at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook. The service will be officiated by Rev. Canon Tanya White. Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, or MS Canada.
