It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Sarah Rideout of Terrenceville announces her passing. Sarah passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023, at the age of 86.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Leo Rideout Jr. of Terrenceville, Mike Rideout of Marystown, Peter Rideout of Terrenceville, Jack Rideout (Vivian) of Terrenceville and Ricky Rideout (Vicki) of Terrenceville; daughters, Eileen Rideout (Billy Hickey) of Terrenceville, Sheila Handrigan (Jim) of Grand Bank, Hester Butler (Godfrey) of Terrenceville, Mary Barnes (Roy) of St. Paul, AB, Rita Smith (Mark) of Fortune and Debbie Rideout (Tony) of Terrenceville; grandchildren, Tina, Tara, Nicholas, Alan, Shannon, Amanda, Christopher, Hannah, Zachary, Tyson, Netisha, Richard and Rosie; great-grandchildren, Jonathon, Duncan, Sophie, Charlotte, Nathan, Samantha, Madison, Mason, Rowyn, Erik, Ava, Gabrielle, and Marissa; sisters, Sheila Kennedy (Jim) of St. John’s, and Roseann Brooks (Junior) of Grand Bank; brother, John Coombs (Evelyn) of Wreck Cove; sisters-in-law, Theresa Coombs of Terrenceville and Kathleen Herridge of Grand Bank; brother-in-law, Joe Drake of Marystown; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Sarah was predeceased by her husband, Leo Rideout Sr.; parents, John and Selina Coombs; grandchildren, Jasmine and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Ella and Jacob; brothers, Harold Coombs and William (Dora) Coombs and sister Rita Drake.
Special thanks to all the people who cared for our Mom, daughter-in-law Vicki Rideout, Tammy Clarke, Vanessa Clarke-Hynes and Kendra Skinner.
The Rideout Family will be accepting visitors at her home in Terrenceville on Friday, March 24th, Saturday, March 25th and Sunday, March 26th.
Funeral Service will take place at her home in Terrenceville at a date and time to be announced. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Terrenceville.
In Sarah’s memory donations may be made to the Terrenceville Lions Club or flowers gratefully accepted.
