It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Marie Guy. Beloved wife, mother and friend. Sandra passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and three sons on Wednesday September 27th, 2023, at the age of 77 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s Newfoundland.
Born on December 29, 1945, in Port Union Sandra was the daughter of Peter and Elsie (Russell) Mason. She grew up with a genuine kindness that endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sandra’s journey was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family. She married the love of her life, Tom Guy on May 5th 1967. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
As a mother, Sandra was the epitome of selflessness. She poured her heart and soul into raising her three sons, Raymond, David, and Derek. She was always there to offer wisdom, support, and unconditional love. Sandra welcomed her daughter in-laws into her life as if they were her own. She was a loving nan and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandson. Her nurturing spirit and boundless patience created a home filled with warmth and comfort. Sandra loved to spend time with family and listen to music, especially the guitar.
Sandra is survived by her devoted husband, Tom, and her loving sons, Raymond (Tanya), David (Karen), and Derek (Carmen). She leaves behind five grandchildren, Daniel (Jill), Jennifer (David), Cayden, Peyton & Liam and one great grandson, Brooks. As well as two sisters, Flo Peddle and Melvie (Billy) Coveduck. Her memory will forever be cherished by her nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.
Sandra is predeceased by her loving parents Peter and Elsie Mason. Her brothers, Harold, Reg, John and Clar. As well as her sister Susan.
Cremation has taken place.

Sandra’s light will continue to shine in our hearts, a beacon of love and kindness that will guide us always. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the lives she touched.
