It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Sandy, enveloped by the love of her devoted family, on Saturday, March 16 2024, in her eighty-fifth year. She was not just Irving’s cherished wife of sixty-six years, but also an exceptional and nurturing mother to Jeff and Paul, and a source of endless joy and warmth as a grandmother to Michelle, Matthew, Jessica, Zachary, and Jaclyn. Sandy was the beloved daughter of the late Sam and the late Freda Press. She held a special place in the hearts of all who knew her. Sandy was not only a daughter-in-law of the late Charles and the late Ray Itzcovitch but also a loving sister to her late and wonderful brother Robert (Bob) and sister-in-law of Edna. Sandy’s embrace extended to her cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends, each touched by her boundless affection and kindness. In every aspect of her life, Sandy pursued excellence with unwavering dedication, always striving to uplift those around her. Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, for she was truly a beacon of strength and inspiration. As we bid farewell, we take solace in knowing that her memory will forever live on in our hearts as a true warrior and champion of love. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons on Tuesday, March 19 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the House of Israel Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at her son Jeff’s home from Tuesday to Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
