Sandra Faye CoDyre, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, cousin and friend, passed away on December 10, 2024, in Victoria, BC, Canada, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on August 20, 1945, Sandra touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.
Sandra’s devotion to her family was unparalleled. She was the loving wife of Gerry, and together they shared a bond that was unbreakable. Their love story was one for the ages, filled with laughter, joy, and a deep connection that transcended time. They farmed tobacco, sold real estate, and owned and operated CoCo’s Roadhouse, all while finding joy in every moment spent together. Sandra and Gerry were inseparable, and their love was a shining example for all who knew them.
Sandra’s love extended to her children, Terry (Cheryl) and Cheryl (Troy), her grandchildren, Brandon, Shauna (Jason), Luke (Caitlin), and Katey, and her great-grandchildren, Calvin and Molly. She was a pillar of strength and support for her family, always offering a listening ear, a comforting embrace, and unwavering love. Her legacy lives on through her family, and her memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched.
In addition to her immediate family, Sandra is survived by her brothers, Fred (Linda) and Rob (Elaine), her sister, Karen (Bob), and a large extended family of nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gerry, who passed away on May 30, 2024, leaving a void in her heart that could never be filled. Sandra’s parents, Rex and Mary Mayo, her brother, Brian (Lynn), and her great-granddaughter Nevaeh also preceded her in death, and their memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved them.
Sandra’s impact on the lives of those around her was immeasurable. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will be forever treasured by her family and friends.
