Our mom passed away in her 97th year on September 5th, 2024 under the compassionate care of staff at Hillel Lodge. Sally was a beloved wife to the late Morton Taller. Loving mother of the late Jay Bryne, Connie Steinberg (Gerald), Beverley Zaifman (the late Bernie), Lynda Wakter (Alex). Proud and loving Bubbi of Hadara, Sygall (Regev), Yael (Shachar) Binyamin; Jared (Ashley), Samara (Ankur), Pierce, Noa (Josh); Tara (Kobi) and Justin. Great grand bubbi to Aurie, Rotem, Ziv, Be’eri, Dror and Yotam. Predeceased by her parents Rose (Bleich) and Mayer Landau and siblings Doris, Nancy and Yechiel. A well-loved Aunt, Sally will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Our mom was a very dedicated community worker and volunteer, having served many worthwhile causes. Our heartfelt thank you to all the caring staff at Hillel Lodge.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Jewish Memorial Gardens, 2692 Bank Street, Ottawa.
Shiva will be begin at the home of Linda and Alex Wakter immediatley following the service until 5pm and from 7pm to 9pm with services at 7:10pm. Monday and Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm with services at 7:10pm and Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm.
Donations in Sally’s memory can be made to the Hillel Lodge Women’s Auxiliary or to Magen David Adom or call 1-800-731-2848.
