1946-2024
Russell James Oxner
passed away on July 18, 2024, at Valley Regional Hospital with his
sister and her husband by his side. He was born Aug. 15, 1946, to
Margaret Louise (Russell) and James Morrison «Morris» Oxner
in Halifax and lived most of his life in Fairview.
Russell was a very
quiet man who enjoyed long walks, looking after his gardens and
property, watching sports on TV as well as genealogy. Russell looked
after our parents till their passing and for that Gerry and I will
always be grateful.
He will be missed by
his sister Elizabeth Burbidge and husband Gerald, Canaan; nephew Paul
Burbidge (Emily Macht), Whitehorse; nieces Andrea (Dave Schaffner)
Burbidge, Canning and Heather Burbidge (Jeremie Blais), North
Vancouver.
We would like to thank
the nursing staff of Medical B and the extended unit who looked after
Russell for all their care as well as the doctors who were involved
with him.
There will be no
service by Russell`s request. Donations in memory may be made to
the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted
to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
