Rudolf Heinrich Droefke of Walkerton passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Waldtraut (nee Scholtes) and father of Ruth (Harold) Weber, Rudolf M. (Sandy), Robert, and Rosemarie. Rudi was Opa to Vincent (Allyssa), Erika (Ben), Bethany (Beau), Christian (Ashley), Adrianna (Matt), Dietrich (Brooke), and special friend of Logan, Samantha Gilbert. He was the proud great-Opa to 6. Also survived by brother-in-law Waldemar Scholtes (Pieternella) and Werner Lindschinger (Marilyn).
Predeceased by his grandson Logan Droefke, brother Horst (Hannelore), sisters Ruth and Gertrude, brother-in-law Dietmar (Helena) Scholtes, sister-in-law Hildegard Lindschinger (nee Sholtes), and his parents Rudolf M. and Hedwig Droefke.
Friends and relatives are invited for visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Walkerton. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Walkerton. Reception to follow.
Interment in Walkerton Cemetery.
