Rozalija (Rose) Brozic, nee Farkas, born in Hotiza, Slovenia on March 6, 1933 peacefully passed on November 25, 2024 at Dom Lipa Retirement Home, Toronto, Ontario.
Rose was predeceased by her parents Ivan and Maria of Hotiza, Slovenia, her husband Ivan, her sister Maria of France, her brother Ivan of Hotiza and her sister Elizabeth Gerkas also of Hotiza.
She will be dearly missed by her brother Steven (Ruth) of Cobourg Ontario. As a devoted mother she will also be missed by her children Dan (Mary-Ann), Rosemarie (Marcel), Betty Nave (David) and John (Sandy). As well, her grandchildren Danielle (Derek), Lauren (Nathan), Connor and Kylie and all of her nieces and nephews. She also leaves a great granddaughter, Hattie Bryans.
Her kind, warm heart and radiant spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Her love of gardening and very fond memories of times spent with her family and close friends at their ‘farms’ brought many smiles to her. Her indelible grace, kindness and caring, nurturing nature will be honoured, and never forgotten.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Dom Lipa for their unending care, respect and kindness.
In lieu of flowers Rose wanted folks to please make a donation to a charity of their choosing or, at the family’s suggestion, to The Slovenian Linden Foundation (Dom Lipa).
