Obituary of Roy Hainer
Hainer, Roy Emerson of Port Burwell passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, January 12, 2023 in his 74th year. Dear friend of Trudy Gillespie. Former husband of Brenda Hainer. Loving father of Jeff(Tracy) of Brockville, Steven and Raymond of London. Grandfather of Destiny and Chance. Brother of Betty Pendreigh(late Bill), Gwen Owen(late Ken), Donna Schmeltz(Randy), Velma Firby(late Pete), James Hainer(Jackie) and Archie Hainer. Predeceased by a brother Donald «Hickory» Hainer and a sister Marie Lockey(late Don). Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Born in Tillsonburg, Ontario on December 22, 1949, son of the late Ray and Alma(McKibbin) Hainer. Roy worked in the saw mill until 1982 and then harvested tobacco. He enjoyed working on cars. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday from 5:00-8:00pm where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 11:00am.
