With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Ross Carter. A loving husband, a cherished father, a devoted grandfather, great grandfather and an accomplished individual. Ross left this world on August 27, 2023. Leaving behind a legacy of love, success, and cherished memories.
A beacon of love and support, Ross dearly loved his wife Joyce (Hood) married for 58 years. Ross excelled in his roles as a father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Nurturing deep connections with his children and their spouses. His family was his pride and joy, and his impact on their lives is immeasurable.
Born on the unique date of February 29, 1944, Ross lived a life marked by remarkable achievements and unwavering devotion to his family. He was a source of inspiration and strength to those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ross’s journey was adorned with both personal and professional triumphs. His dedication and hard work led to numerous successes in business, a testament to his indomitable spirit and resilience. Yet, amidst his accomplishments, Ross always found time to relish the moments spent with his loved ones, particularly at the family farm—a place where memories were woven and cherished.
Ross was predeceased by his father Ronald John (RJ), mother Elizabeth Jane (Bess). His brothers, William, Terry, Richard (Dick), David, and sister Eleanor Brooks. And brothers-in-law Ed Brooks and Bob Warren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce (Hood), a pillar of strength who stood by his side through every season of life. Also survived by his dear sister Margaret Warren. sisters-in-law Carol Carter and Joyce Carter.
Ross’s enduring legacy lives on through his children and their spouses, as well as his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the values he held dear. Oldest son Jim & Mary, their children Cynthia, Stephanie, Marcus. Then Donna & Kevin and their son Matthew. Next is Jason & Joanne and children Max, Kennedy, Carson, Lindsay, Matthew, and Connor. Ross’s youngest son Ian & Kara, and children; daughter Jaden & Cody and daughter Henley , son Devon & Blair, son Colton & Jamie and their children Greyson and Ava, and daughter Ally.
A private burial to honor Ross’s life will take place at Baird’s Cemetery, where he will find rest and peace. Following the service, a gathering at the family farm will be held for close friends and family, to celebrate Ross’s life, share stories, and support one another in this time of loss.
Ross’s memory will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of love, strength, and inspiration. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
