It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Rose Carrol Shelley announces her passing from the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Saturday, December 16, 2023, aged 57 years.
Left with a lifetime of memories is her husband, Terry Shelley, Fleur de Lys, NL; children, Melody Dempsey (Corey Osbourne), La Scie, NL and Terrance James Shelley, Fleur de Lys, NL; granddaughters, Eve Rose Gorai and Rosemary Jane Osbourne; siblings, Aloysious Dempsey, Elizabeth Tobin (Fred), Carmel Dempsey (Fabian Downey), David Dempsey (Karen), Margaret Bartlett (Bill), Winnie Dempsey (Paul LeGrow), Dorothy Dempsey (Corey Shea) and Amy Dempsey; siblings-in-law, Mary Ann France (Eric), Jack Shelley, Linda Shelley, Maureen Shelley, Jenny Shelley (Kevin Waymen), Lorianne Vanderlight (Cameron), Anne Shelley and Anthony Shelley (Melanie); special friends, Michelle Lewis and Nancy Shea Lewis, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Rose is predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Mary Dempsey; sister, Bernadette Dempsey; niece, Iesha Seymour; nephew, Christopher Dempsey; parents-in-law, James and Genevieve Shelley; siblings-in-law, Denny Shelley, Ben Shelley, George Shelley, Josephine Shelley, Fred Zoe and Frasier Kennedy.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place.
A Wake service will take place from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 7 pm.
The Mass of Christian Burial will take place from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 1pm, with Father Anthony Aikins officiating.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made to assist the family.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
