Passed away unexpectedly on February 9th, 2024 at the age of 46. Beloved husband and best friend of Monique Green (nee Rioux). Dearly loved son of Diane and Mac and Rick and Sue. Proud and devoted father of Sadie and Brenden. Sadly missed by his fur babies Mazel and Mario. Forever loved and missed by sister Michelle (Greg) Green. Also lovingly remembered by other dear family and many, many, great friends who will all feel his absence immensely. Whether you knew Rory since childhood, or only just met him, you would know about his infectious laughter, captivating stories, and unmatched energy. He was the epitome of sociability, touching the lives of countless individuals with his warmth and compassion, bringing everyone together with a genuine kindness. Above all, though, Rory had an unwavering love for his family. He was a devoted father, husband, brother, and son, and is missed immensely by his loved ones. From a young age Rory had a special connection with Georgian Bay, finding solace and joy in its beauty throughout the year. His love for the Bay was infectious, and he shared this passion with those around him, especially his family. He enjoyed disc golf on the outer islands, fishing, sharing stories around a campfire, exploring with his dogs all in the company of others. In his hometown, the Green house has always been a hub of Midland life, where everyone was always welcome, for an hour, an evening, or sometimes a year or two. He was a well respected and trusted member of every community as he was involved in golfing, baseball, art, design, music, and in his work in creative digital marketing. Let us come together as a community to show our support for Rory’s family and celebrate his life. All are welcome at Carson Funeral Home – J.H. Lynn Chapel, 290 First St., in Midland on Saturday February 24, 2024 from 1 to 4 pm for a celebration of life drop in. Words of remembrance will take place at 2 pm. If you know, you know, but if you don’t, all will be welcomed back to the Green home to continue to share great stories and share the love we have for Rory. If desired, donations may be made to the Sothern Georgian Bay Air Boat Rescue Group and are greatly appreciated. The family would like to take this opportunity to express their heartfelt gratitude and thanks for all of the support from the community, friends and everyone involved for all of the help, expressions of sympathy, love and care all have made.
