It is with profound sadness that the family of Ron Shuttleworth announce his peaceful passing at home on October 25th, 2024 at the age of 70 years old.
Ron’s family was the cornerstone of his life and he took immense pride in them. He had a special bond with his children and his grand daughter and enjoyed spending time with his family. Ron was a devoted husband and will remain in the heart of his loving wife Maggie of 45 years. He will be dearly missed by his children Cassie (Anthony), Jim, Stef (Brad) and his granddaughter Sophia; his mother Lorraine, sisters Linda (Dave), Brenda (Mike) and Pam. He is predeceased by his father John and his brother Jim.
Ron grew up in Cambridge with his family where he started one of his own. He loved to spend time outdoors tending to his beloved backyard, listening to his favourite music in the garage and spending his free time playing with his granddaughter whom he adored.
A celebration of life will be held at the Waterloo Regional Police Association (WRPA) Recreation Centre (1128 Rife Road, North Dumfries ON, N1R 5S3) on Sunday November 17th, 2024 from 2pm – 5pm.
Donations made to the Cancer Society of Canada in Ron’s memory, a cause close to the family, would be greatly appreciated.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the palliative care team for the care and compassion shown to him and his family.
