Bernicky, Ronald «Ron» Earl
Peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday, May 09, 2024, at the age of 66. Beloved husband of Linda Bernicky. Cherished father of Lucas (Christina), and Matthew (Krista). Dear «PoppaRoni» of Samuel and Patrick. Survived by his sisters Sharon (Roger) Wilkins, Patricia (Mark) Bernicky, and Susan (Layne) Pretty. Predeceased by his parents Donald and Verla Bernicky, and his brothers Roger and Kevin Bernicky. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
We, Ron’s family, are filled with the utmost love and pride for the exceptional and huge life Ronnie lived. He is a force and a warrior. Ronnie passed peacefully with his wife Linda’s arms around him and his sons, Lucas and Matthew, at his side. Ronnie’s love for his family was fierce and his sons were his pride and joy. Thanks to a selfless organ donor, Ron got to live another full 10 years. He witnessed milestones in his family’s lives that he undoubtedly would have missed. We are forever grateful to that selfless donor and his amazing Gift of Life.
We wish to thank the incredible Doctors, Nurses, Surgeons, Specialists and all staff from the Toronto General Hospital and the Transplant Team. They have always went above and beyond and gave us the last 10 years with Ronnie. Thank you.
To the entire health team at Bayshore Home & Community Health, your care and dedication to Ron’s day to day life in the past few months has been exceptional and so caring and we sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
To Dr. Frazer Smith and all the staff at Smiths Falls Family Chiropractic for going way above and beyond to do anything and everything to give Ron some quality of life. You guys are some of the most loving and caring individuals we’ve ever known.
And last, but certainly not least, to the wonderful Nursing staff at the Smiths Falls Hospital…you guys are AMAZING. Your care and compassion was so perfect and so appreciated. Ron was always in the best hands, both in ICU and on Med Surg. He and I have always been so proud of our Hospital and its staff. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

As per Ron’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Smiths Falls Golf & Country Club on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 12:00pm till 4:00pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to your favourite charity would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home.
