Oxford, Ronald David passed into the arms of his beloved Lord and Savior on Wednesday October 30, 2024.
He will be sadly missed by his children David (Anne), Betty Sharpe, Brian (Lori), grandchildren Laura (Dwayne) Craig, Hilary Oxford (Roy Loveless), Krystal Ranton (Mike Drover), Nicole (Billie) Souza, 8 great grandchildren, his brothers William (Rose) and Eldon and sisters Mary Bracher and Marie Rumsby as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pre-deceased by his wife of over 65 years Audrey Mae (Snook) (2018), grandson Darren Ranton (2020), sisters Katherine and Emma Oxford, brother-in-law Harry Bracher and sister-in-law Norma Oxford.
Ron spent most of his working career driving. First a bus for the City of Cambridge, then a logging truck in Northern Ontario, followed by a Milk truck for several years before spending the last 15 or so years driving a tour bus with his wife as hostess on the bus. They thoroughly enjoyed travelling North America together with the passengers.
He was a devoted family man who loved to take his family camping and fishing. Family gatherings at special occasions were among his favorite times. He always was interested in what his family was doing. He will be greatly missed!
Cremation has taken place. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where family and friends will be received on Tuesday November 5, 2024 from 6-9p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Church, 127 Hespeler Rd, Cambridge, on Wednesday November 6, 2024 at 11a.m. Reception will follow. Private interment will be held.
