Mr. Ronald Adams of Chatham-Kent passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham site, on Saturday January 7th, 2023, at the age of 93. Ron was the son of the late Walter and Eveline (Eva Crow) Adams. Ron is predeceased by his brothers Neale Adams and Robert Adams, his sister Evelyn Shackleton and his sister-in-law Ruth Adams. Ron will be greatly missed by surviving family members, sister-in-law Margaret Adams, niece Heather Adams, nephew Jim (Carol) Adams and great-nieces Julie (Jun Hyun An) Adams and Jaclyn Adams. Ron is predeceased by his niece Catherine Adams and his nephew Robert (Rob) Adams. Ron was a member of Providence United Church. Ron was employed for his entire career by Union Gas in Chatham and retired from the Pipeline Engineering Department. His interest in pipelines and his valued friendships with colleagues continued for the remainder of his life. He enjoyed his life on his family farm in Raleigh Township, where he took an interest in farm activities. Ron was an avid reader, and he took great pleasure in gardening. Thanks to the staff at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, for their care. Friends and family are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 with visiting on Wednesday January 11th, 2023, from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday January 12th at 11:30, with visiting from 10:30 am until the time of service. Interment will be at Stewart Cemetery. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider Providence United Church, or The Land Between Charity, or charity of your choice.
