Ron Oswald Obituary
Oswald, Ronald «Ron»
Ron Oswald passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2024 in Kitchener, Ontario at the age of 79.
Born January 4, 1945 to Bereath (Craig) and Harry Oswald in Montreal, Ron grew up in Deep River, Ontario. He went on to wear many hats over his career including Police Officer (Milton OPP and later Town of Milton), 5th Wheel Manager, Cabinetmaker, and finally Purchasing Manager at D&H Custom Woodworking in Kitchener, where he retired from in 2007. But his proudest role was that of Grandpa. Nothing made his eyes light up and bring that infectious yet elusive smile to his face more than being with his granddaughters. He was very proud of their accomplishments and while he may miss their university graduations, he will be watching over them from above. Ron was an ardent Blue Jays fan, a skilled woodworker, and a lover of stand-up comedy and music – especially Elvis. Christmas was always a special time to him, and his love of the holiday season is something that lives on through his sons.
Ron was predeceased by his mother and father, as well as his sister, Lois. He is survived by his sons Ron and Rob, granddaughters Lauren and Leah, brothers Al (Vicki) and Bill, and sister Barb.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service, and his ashes will be returned to the river he loved to swim in as a child.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you reach out to those who mean the most to you and tell them you love them.
