Ronald Ellis Miller (Ron or Ronnie) (1941-2024)
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, papa and brother, Ronald (Ron) Miller on Monday May 13, 2024.
Beloved husband of Jo-Anne (Rine) for 60 years. Loving father of Sherrie Langford (Paul), and Gayle Colbran (Shawn). Cherished papa of Kurtis (Erin), Christopher (Tiffany), Jade (Bauman), Nikolas, Alexa (Amari). Dear brother of Tom Miller and Nancy Smith (Wayne). Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Edith Miller, his son David, and his sister Kathryn.
Woodstock will be a different place without Ron. It seems you were part of his family or knew him from his 41 years at Pooles grocery store, his many many years of Barbershop singing, his time working at the Woodstock Casino and/or his time working as a greeter at the McBeath-Dynes funeral home. He spent many many years with Jo-Anne and his family in Otter’s Edge Campground and in their cottage in Turkey Point.
He was one of the kindest men you will ever meet and one of the absolute best!!
We are at peace, as we know he is in heaven with his missed loved ones and fur babies, CANCER FREE! We know he is doing all the things he loved to do (tending gardens, singing Barbershop, crafting, sitting in the sun or yes of course doing “the boot scoot n boogie)!!
Our family would like to thank everyone for your kindness and support during this difficult time. The overwhelming number of messages and phone calls have been very much appreciated.
As per Ron’s request there will be no funeral home visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will be held later. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Ron’s life on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 1-4pm at the Woodstock Navy Club 959 James Street, Woodstock.
Memorial donations to the Leukemia Foundation or the Sing Canada Harmony Scholarship Fund would be appreciated.
